Naw, bobtailing is good.
If you carry InsideWaistBand (IWB) it's usually just behind the point of the hip and a good holster will pull the grip in against the kidney or small of back, depending on where it rides). Very concealable, even a 5-inch 1911 like mine.
Problem comes in any time you extend, bend over, the back end of the grip, right there where a bob tail rounds it over, pokes up your cover garment and is pretty obvious.
You learn to squat, not bend.
And that's a steak AND a nice Cabernet.
Got it! Shooting-wise, though, I don't think I'd appreciate a non-functional lip around my hand. That said, de gustibus non est disputandum.
