Some Points to remember about Florida:
1. They gave us McCain; 2. They earned the designation Flori-DUH for a reason; 3. They contain a very large amount of North-Easter and other moderate people migrating to Florida; 4. Democrats will cross over to vote in the Republican Primary in conditions like these; 5.Florida never corrected for the vote fraud we saw in prior elections; 6. They can only award 25 delegates; 7. SC indicates Romney cannot win the South;
So Romney has the moderate, democrat and vote fraud going for him in Florida. It would be great if he lost there but considering the above its not likely, so what is important to take away is how strong the opposition to him is as that is what will be seen in the red states.
Ode to the Grand Olde Party, and their BFF, the Obamanator.
When Newt or Paul rocks the GOP Establishment Boat,
The GOP oarsmen pull knives from their boots.
The hacking and slashing puts extreme fighting to shame,
Never, no NEVER rock the GOP Establishment Boat!
The GOP cannot win elections, by choice of their suits,
A RINO Nominee is a Democrat, - - - - one and the same.
Two Party as One Party is what they adore.
Never give voters a choice, ( or politicians
Are out of life-time jobs, - - forever more).
As we pay our bills holding our noses as we vote,
The Obamanator holds his cold, steel knife
To Americas throat - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - .
A state with a Republican government that never tried to fix vote fraud, tells us a lot about those ‘Republicans’.
Democraps can’t “cross over” and vote in the Republican primary. It’s a closed primary and they would have to register as RINOs to do so. Even Independents can’t vote in our primary.
I think FL has 50 delegates; that they would have had 100 but were cut to 50 for moving primary date. Correct me if I’m wrong.
To vote in Florida, one must show a picture ID. That’s a lot better than some states where the homeless and nursing home patients are bussed to the polls on election day with no requirement for ID.
Michael Reagan is on Laura Ingraham right now and thinks there is a chance of a brokered convention.
And if that’s the case, Fla. will be one of the reasons.
The state will be known as the central rallying point for Conservatives who are fed up with GOP-E.
Florida is overrun with greedy geezers, who are every bit as much a part of the free sh*t army as welfare mamas and “disabled” drug addicts.
Romney sells hope that the gravy train can continue, just run more efficiently if he’s in charge.
This is the main reason he cannot defeat Obama.
That’s correct, ngat.
One poll (Insider Advantage) shows Romney has an advantage among old folks (over 45) but Newt has an overwhelming advantage among the 18 to 29 year olds. I wonder why. (Do we old folks not mind sticking the youngsters with all that debt?)
Another thing I was wondering about. Some of the next primary states have lots of Mormons. But will Mormons vote of Romney because of that? He seems like a lousy representative for their faith to me. (imo).
bump
Look up how easy it is to register as a Republican to vote in the “closed” primary. Then look how long they have to change back.
Some Points to remember about Mechanicos:
1) A person has to be as dumb as a box of rocks to post such nonsense.
2) Most of his points are factually incorrect beyond the point of ignorance
DO research please before wasting our bandwidth.
You have to be registered as a Republican on or before January 3ed, a full four weeks before the primary. I seriously doubt more than a hand full of Democrats will go to such lengths.
Not true at all. First, we have had photo ID requirements for awhile now. Second, our new governor cleaned up the voting rolls pulling out 10s of thousands of voters (deceased, moved, etc) which was intended to eliminate fraud opportunities. They also shortened early voting to lessen the opportunity for fraud and other shenanigans.
Thank you for your attempted attack on the messenger. I made a mistake as to number of delegates and admit it. They had 100 and now 50. Still a tiny percent of overall number of delegates. But, if you have a problem with what I said, address the alleged issue. If your goal was to discredit me, one has to ask why when all I was doing was provoking thought and conversation?
I await your presenting your superior morality and great wisdom in a cognitive response...
You are correct, they had 100 and now its 50. Still, 50 delegates is a not that much compared to Super Tuesday which Romney is likely to lose.
You are right, 50 is not that much. I’m not sure even the professionals know for sure how this plays with delegates yet.
For example, one little state I know of with more than three times the delegates of Florida, has not even been allowed to set its primary date yet - and by rights should also still be a winner-take-all state sure to go Gingrich, but appears to have had its voting strength diluted by being forced to go proportional because of the unsettled primary date chaos!
I have met a few of the republican club leaders across the state.
they are best described as old, clueless, self absorbed, and would be democrats if it got them personal glory.
I think part of the reason for this might be that those younger people were not old enough to really follow all that was going on back in '95. They didn't get the heavy dose of "Newt is evil and wants to starve old people and children" that everyone else got at the time.
