One poll (Insider Advantage) shows Romney has an advantage among old folks (over 45) but Newt has an overwhelming advantage among the 18 to 29 year olds. I wonder why. (Do we old folks not mind sticking the youngsters with all that debt?)
Another thing I was wondering about. Some of the next primary states have lots of Mormons. But will Mormons vote of Romney because of that? He seems like a lousy representative for their faith to me. (imo).
I have met a few of the republican club leaders across the state.
they are best described as old, clueless, self absorbed, and would be democrats if it got them personal glory.
I think part of the reason for this might be that those younger people were not old enough to really follow all that was going on back in '95. They didn't get the heavy dose of "Newt is evil and wants to starve old people and children" that everyone else got at the time.
I live near Utah and will tell you that Mormons will vote for a fellow cult member every time, no matter what the baggage.
