I'm very proud of the party this morning. We all know here that the system works. Yesterday, the best man won, and the people of South Carolina can be equally proud. This small state, representing the demographics of the rest of this country, spoke loud and clear.
We can now go back to the issues, and refrain from any negative ads, responses etc. You've won. You don't need to look desperate and petty like your opponents.
The media, your opponents, the establishment including the countless misguided conservative analysts from Ann Coulter to Karl Rove will continue their assault on you, not giving you any credit, where credit is long over due.
Don't fall for their trap. Don't let them rile you. Keep to your game plan. We're in the playoffs and, Newt, you're ahead 21 to 3 going into the third quarter. So enjoy it from here on out.
You're Aaron Rogers, a young Terry Bradshaw or Bart Starr with the ball coming off the field. The defense, with Dick Butkus, Brian Urlacher and Mike Singletary, is now eager to take the field.
The opponent is determined to get points on the board, but nothing thus far seems to work not even the bad officiating which has given them the ball in your territory three times today.
An end sweep is tried. Butkus smells it coming and swoops up the lead blockers and ball carrier together for a loss. A mid field pass is batted away by Urlacher. A screen play is foiled with Singletary stuffing the ball carrier for a loss, and then Alan Page blocks a field goal attempt.
After you win the playoffs and go into the Super Bowl, you'll be like Devin Hester, with the other guy not wanting to kick you the ball, but you'll still win, and win big.
The playoff game is almost won. We will savor the victory, watching it play out, as it should over the next two months. During that time more and more people from all backgrounds will see that you are a good and decent man, and that you care deeply about our country and ALL the people in it. They will notice too that almost every time you speak it's a teaching moment on our history as a nation.
We will then, all of us, coelesce around you to defeat the other guy.

Newt should stick to what he’s been doing the last 2 weeks- simply articulating the conservative message while exposing the media and Obama.
