Fortunately in Texas, proposed textbooks have to be approved by the Texas Education Agency before they can be adopted by local school districts. There’s lots of conservative activists involved in the review process, so it’s hard for leftists to ram through leftist propaganda into public school text books.

Of course, this is NOT a “textbook”, it’s just a “literary” work. A narrative book assigned by teachers or department heads at the particular school.

LOL. I watched some of those discussions they had. The liberal heads were exploding. I can’t remember all the stuff they were arguing about.

One thing I do remember was how the libs wanted to eliminate all that old stuff about the founding fathers and include more about more recent years in order to be more interesting and relevant to today’s children.
