After almost 200 years, the last thing you would think the French want is a daily reminder of the devastating military defeats at Waterloo and Trafalgar. But now a theme park is being planned in honour of Napoleon Bonaparte - and will stage daily re-enactments of the victories for Wellington and Nelson.

They should make a park that showcases all of their defeats for the last 100 or so years.
What are some of the rids we can expect?
The St. Helena Roller Coaster of DOOOOOOM?
The Battle of the Pyramids Lazy River Adventure?
Will it come complete with nearly 200,000 frozen French corpses rotting on the frozen Russian tundra while Napoleon rides in comfort and style? ...I kind of doubt it. Amazing how good the French are with selective history”.
Indochina and Algeria were not Sunday strolls in the park.
The veterans of Dien Bien Phu and Algiers were not cowards.
The French fought bravely in WWI. Last time I checked, that was after Napoleon.
Here is the last photo of two patriots. These men died in an effort to protect you and yours in the global war on terror. Mocking the French or their resolve is only for the ignorant.
No they were not.
Austerlitzland! Ski the new Borodino roller coaster!

The Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys froze their cajones off in Russia.
The subtext? "If we go bankrupt, we can resurrect the Empire."
This mindset should give Germany pause. Germany is sandwiched between neo-Napoleonic France and the Russian bear.
Napoleon wasn't French. He was Corsican.
And his rule set France on a path from being a world power to an also-ran. Contrast to George Washington who set *his* country on a path from being a never-was to the world's leading power.
I woud rather focus on their victories, like at the Rainbow Warrior Undersea Adventure Park.
They don’t have enough room.
The Hitler of his time: Attempted to conquer Europe by force, Russian campaign that ended badly, dictator, created new “legal” structure, etc.
How about a theater with a loop of the Russian version (1967)of WAR AND PEACE, and the movie WATERLOO (1971) staring Rod Steiger and Christopher Plumber.
Battle scenes for both by Sergei Bondarchuk.
It makes the 1956 version of W&P with Henery Fonda look like Cliff’s Notes.

Even that was a failure. the bomb was supposed to go off when the Rainbow warrior was at sea in deep water taking all evidence to a deep grave. Instead it went off in port and the ship was refloated.
***...created new legal structure, etc.***
Napoleonic Code as used in Mexico. Guilty until proven innocent.
Who says the French invasion of Mexico was wasted with great victories (for the Mexicans) at Puebla and Cameron.
I'm there!
