I really cant remember the year before. LOL. Oh waitwas it Adam screamer and Kris whatsisname? It was the great Lee DeWyze beating Crystal Bowersox to a pulp with his acoustic guitar. Expect more of the same this year.
If Phillips can outlast Hollie Cavanaugh, Colton Dixon and Skylar Laine, he will not lose. Look at this thread...not one person has suggested that their pro-Hollie vote will go anywhere but to Phillips...and many are saying they'll do it to send a message to the judges.

Right you are Chunga, and to think that a marginal talent like Phillips will be competing with the best male singer in the history of
American Idol and one of the top 3 females in the show's history (McPhee, Underwood)...and considering that this astonishing female singer is only 16 years old...a shy, reserved, socially awkward teenager...the daughter of a Navy man who served in Desert Storm...who has admitted that she doesn't know how to do anything but sing, but whose personality draws out the most despicable comments in the history of silent_johnny's threads, running the gamut from having a boy's figure to being an archetype of a racial profile the show's producers are trying to "ram down our throats"..., well, you can see why a no-singing, no-playing everybar everysinger everyman like Phillips will rake in the white person vote, the show's largest demographic.
And if he wins, I will be extremely happy for him...but he won't deserve it. Compared to the other two left, he's an absolute absurdity. He doesn't belong on the same stage as either of them. Skylar did. Colton did...but just barely.
But the ladies love him. Woooo Hooo!
And thanks for not reading this!

Chunga, maybe you can help me to understand something.
Why do you suppose that so many American Idol Freepers are going to throw their support to Phillips now that Hollie is gone? Can't the judges' favoritism toward Phillips, who receives praise week after week from all 3, be seen as throwing dear Hollie "Under The Bus," as they say? Why won't the FReepers be withholding their support and votes from Phillips in order to "Teach The Judges A Lesson?"
Thanks in advance, and for not reading this!

Why won't the FReepers be withholding their support and votes from Phillips in order to "Teach The Judges A Lesson?"Well Mr. C, it's for the same reason that they're praised and congratulated for snarking and you aren't. There's a word for it, but there's no need to use it here. It's for the same reason that you're accused of almost calling people a Nazi, while others call you a fascist without reprisals. It's why you're shunned for speaking your point of view, while others are allowed to ridicule minors while recieving many jovial attaboys without one word of opprobrium from the thread host.
Get the picture? You should leave the thread.

How can we drag this crap on long enough to make certain we have time for a performancy by J-Lo LOL! That's probably a typo, but I like it. We'll add it to our Idol Thread lexicon :)
Performancy: (pur-for-man-see) noun. A silly, time-filling performance; see Jennifer Lopez.

Good morning, Shelayne!
I was afeered that you would use the breastfeeding mom on the cover of Time.
Why is this the first I'm hearing about this cover? ;)
Oh ... I just Googled it. That's not what I was expecting at all. That kid is going to be warped.

Did anyone else notice this?
They showed the "journey" for Jessics, Phillip, and Joshua, BEFORE they announced who was leaving..but showed Hollie's AFTER they said the was goig home...
So, where's the drama in that?. They all-but announced in advance.

Well, Hollie and Skylar are out. Josh’s voice is really bothering me cuz he never sings the note that’s there. He takes a note below and goes up. That’s okay sometimes but Joshua does it every single time. PP isn’t that great and Jessica can do amazing stuff with her voice but I like half of what she does. So, that’s my worthless summary. Everyone I rooted for is done. I’m no judge of amerika (mostly little girls for PP).

In approximately a year and a half, PP will be picking up a weed eater at Lowe’s. I bailed during David Cook’s boring new song. I came bk when he was through.
To: Nea Wood
Yep. Hollie went right under the bus starting on Wednesday night. Even that creepy Jimmy started things off by telling Hollie NOT to oversing so she didn’t and then the judges told her she wasn’t singing enough. Total setup.
