My novels are not gratis in total, ...
Sorry TM, I never meant to imply that though I stupidly forgot to include a disclaimer to that effect since I was posting in a thread about FREE book sites. Whoops. Mea culpa.
Let me say here: Travis McGee is among the best if not the best (stroke, stroke) authors who are regulars on FR, and his "enemies" series are well worth the price.

Thanks urtax$@work.
I'm going to risk pinging this one, looks like something of interest to most.
To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list. |

There’s a FReeper Book Club Ping List?
Please, sign me up!

I would recommend FReople check their local library's web sites. Many of them offer free ebook downloads, audio books and free music downloads to various types of e-devices. >:3

Thanks for this thread and the ggg ping.
Lewis and Clark expedition journal to be downloaded.

Thanks. *Ping* for later reading (reading about reading has taken a back seat to reading what I’m reading currently).

I have a Kindle keyboard, but I use it more for games than reading.I'm considering purchasing a Kindle, but I'm torn between the extremes of the basic model and the Fire. What is the major advantage/benefit you found for choosing the keyboard model?
To: Tanniker Smith
Please add me to book ping list! Thanks!

My decision was made for me when i got an iPad for Christmas. I use the kindle app. I rarely need to type on it, and never in kindle. I like the ipad in that I don't have to turn on the lamp to read it -- I usually do, but I shut the light when my wife goes to sleep.
I haven't tried reading outside in sunlight yet because it's been too cold.

Also, those of you with Apple i-devices ... download the iTunes U app. Thousands of complete college courses, in so many categories, totally free.

I bought mine when the price went down, and before Fire was mentioned. I also don’t have wifi.

Good ping. Thanks for taking the risk.
Btw, if you have a “random stuff SunkenCiv finds interesting” ping list, please add me to it.
