And when poor, unprotected Tebow was dropped for a loss of 11 yards early in the third quarter of the Patriots [team stats]’ 45-10 trampling of the Broncos last night at Gillette Stadium, that wasn’t God’s will. It was the will of Vince Wilfork [stats] and Rob Ninkovich.
Actually, that WAS God's will. He is indeed interested in every part of our lives to the point of numbering the hairs on our heads. I don't pretend to be able to explain how the shellacking the Broncos took is used by God, but my ignorance of it doesn't in any way mean that its outside of God's perfect will. God is sovereign and that includes the entertainment of football.
I agree, yet I think we tend to believe that God intervenes more often than he really does.
God created us - but I think be tends to be hands off and allows us to achieve or fail on our own. If God’s hand was involved on behalf of Tim Tebow, his will has been done. Have we not all been debating or praising his will? When is the last time a major media outlet made his will the subject of numerous reports - for weeks?
Maybe it was just a reminder that the road ahead is always going to have its boulders...
