Sept 15th, Yes, In south FL our Spring season starts Jan 15th... I planted the corn early.. (big Mistake) but it made it... I was over preping the south 1/2 of the garden for planting watermellon this afternoon.. I also laid down a bunch of round up again.. In 3 days I will plant.. I also need to take a trip to plant store and get some more goodies for myself.. Not sure what yet.. My sister and her husband are down from MD and love the freezer full of fresh frozen veggies I saved for them..
Side note: I had some year old greenbeans in the freezer. They were sorta freezer burned from being in there so long.. I put them in with a Roast and they turned out perfect.. Who knew.. I was ready to toss them.. Yes I made Yorkishire pudding also.. It’s an english thing... Damn thing came up 6”.. Nice Puddin!
My goats have always been sweet and loveable, but they were babies when I got them, so they seek positive attention. They are masters at exploiting any weakness or hole in the fence, though, even if only to stand on the other side of it. They got out onto the ROW of the interstate one morning and almost gave me heart failure.
Thank you SOOOO much! I liked the information I was discovering here...and, of COURSE, the people. The generosity of JustaDumbBlonde has overwhelmed me!!!
I look forward to learning a lot here.
;-)
LOL, I had to learn the “hard way”, not knowing liquers, I made a “few” mistakes. These are usually Christmas gifts where I intesify the “fruit taste”. These liquers are great on pound bread, ice cream, sorbets and sherbets. They are REALLY GREAT on hot cakes and waffles. When we have our military golf tournament and BBQ, the Sunday, for those left standing, I fix hot cakes, and the hot cake lovers really do a job on the intisified “fruit juice”. For the “pure” ones I do scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, bisquits and SOS. It is so Great.
Wonder what the biggest ping list is?
I read somewhere that Dummie Funnies has over 1,000 and I’d bet that The Canteen has quite a few as well. The Weekly Gardening Thread has got to be right on up there, though.
Not fair! You are making me very hungry.
We had goats, and the litte imps studied us and were just darling, got into a lot of trouble. We lost one, and after hearing some noise in the barrel full of corn, found her. I don’t see how she survived. Yes, they were pigmies. Imps, each and everyone of them. I cried, when we gave them to a neighbor, who wanted them and raised them....for sale. I was upset over that.
HUUURAAY, HUUUURAY!
Yum! SOS!
Brings back memories! Big steam heated vats of milk and beef all being mixed together with oars by the Chefs of the Marine Corps!
Good stuff!
Goats are little clowns without the big shoes.
The Gardening Thread will grow by leaps and bounds with you posting! You do a fantastic job.
Awwww ... you are too kind!
The Buick Electra 225 was surplus tanks of WWII...
You’re right about that! My first car when I turned 16 was a late 60’s model Olds Delta 88. My dad wanted me surrounded with a bunch of steel. I could drive for a week on $5 worth of gas!
Seems the cheesy heads got beat by a previously unknown race of Giants that list their address as NY, but may be hiding in the wilderness of NJ.
WoW!!! Thanks for telling me the game is on...
Why hard core?
Do you not approve of the number of varieties? The seed quantity of each variety?
Come October, you’re more than welcome to join us.
