A while back I recall hearing about some seeds that had been discovered that would grow some kind of old time tomato that was really tasty. Supposedly they were going to start making more of these seeds, and they would become available to the general public. Does anyone remember this, or did I just dream about it?
Might be of interest to the Gardening crew.

Anyone have a source for seed crops? By that, I mean crops that can be grown for seeds for next year’s crops. Most hybrid seeds do not do well if you plant the seeds. I’ve seen the SHTF seed packages and I’m going to get some but their crop offerings seem rather limited.
Any advice / insight?
One thing that spring has never been accused of is coming too soon.
Time to order the seed catalogs to curl up with by the wood stove and dream of the garden...and order extra seeds for your ‘hoard.’ (The big chem outfits, with the help of their big gov’t honchos, do not like non-hybrid seeds that allow you to save your own seed.
I like to order - or go get - seeds from my local neck of the country. They grow better, IMHO. Fortunately, one of the big seed outfits is only a pleasant country drive away and the other easily ordered from online.
We also have a Co-Op feed source - all organic, that isn’t listed at this site.
BTW, thanks for posting this ;o)

I have ordered several times from cheapseeds.com. They have a limited selection of seeds but they really are cheap and shipping is free. I have always had excellent service. The seeds are usually shipped the same or next day.
Thanks!!
