I'm seeking advice on the best webhosting site. Presently, I'm on Intuit and not happy. Any advice and opinion will be welcome.
Okay...thanks.
Didn’t mean to imply anything. Its hard to tell which ones are good and the wrong company can put you out of business.
I’d also advise against godaddy. I know folks who use them and they have a lot of trouble.
Thank for for your advice.
I have a php site hosted on fatcow. It was slow at first (a few years back) but they migrated my site to a new server and I haven’t had any problems since.
bookmarked
No worries. I just didn’t want to pick a second intuit and thought Freepers could help.
Whoa. Most of those lists are paid lists for placement as "we're one of the top", aren't they? You look at fifteen of them and they'll all be different. Check this Link of actual # of domains hosted by hosting company. And I believe WildWest is one of those "we register everything as a holding place" companies. 1and1.com doesn't buy up and host holding domains.
I like experthost. almost 10 years with them.
We have been using BlueHost.com, out of Salt Lake for going on 6 years. We own 17 domains, with room for plenty more.
Hard to beat for $6.95 per month.
This is a no-training wheels hosting service. You access to everything. Lots of tutorials, and FREE 24 hour tech support.

17 domains! Wow! I went to Sewing Academy. Do you use Paypal or Merchant Service?
I have several domains on BlueHost - excellent service and easy-to-install software options. I won’t use any other hosting company.
I’ll check them out. Thanks.

bluehost.com out of Utah has been excellent for me. I’ve got my own website with them, as well as several customer websites.
They’re quick to answer the phone, and the folks who answer are very knowledgeable and very helpful. It’s impressive, actually.
Price is cheap, and the cpanel tools they offer for web/email support are quite numerous.
I really can’t say enough good things about these folks.
I’ve had good luck with Hostgator, but I haven’t ever used their support so I can’t comment on that. They seem reliable in general.
FireHost is amazing. It has excellent security and tech support.
