This is good for folks who are re-exploring old film cameras.
I just sold my old Pentax on eBay, and would have loved to have enclosed a link to this site for the new owner of my old dinosaur.
To: SWAMPSNIPER
I stumbled onto this site when seeking information about my mother’s Canon Sure Shot, a point-and-shoot film camera that was the forerunner of the digital Power Shot series. I was quite impressed with the site.

Swamp is an old and cherished friend here on FR. You are more likely to get zotted then he is. Go away.

Speaking of dinosaurs, that site even has manuals for Graflex cameras that were popular among photojournalists before Nikons and Canons came into vogue in the 1960’s.

Cool, thanks! On a sad note, I think my Nikon D60 is dying and I’m going to have to get a new camera. I kind of have my sites set on a D7000... ;)

I've shot my Sony A200 so much that the matte finish is worn shiny on the grip areas. It's just a matter of time.
If I can find a low mileage used body that I can use my grip on I'll grab it.
The newer bodies take a different grip, and they are smaller than I like.
I can't see the point in a DSLR that fits in a shirt pocket.

My Dad, a WW2 navy photographer, had a Speed Graphic. My Brother still has it.

I have a d7000. A nice camera. Bit would be a nice upgrade to the d60.

Thanks for hr link SS. Bookmarked
btw, I have similar 'old camera info ' websites Bookmarked that I used to find that my old Sunpak 'Potato Smasher' Flash would fry my Nikon's electronics (and all new digital cameras) without using a voltage reducer (WEIN Safe Sync) on the hot shoe.
And it works. The only thing is with my Sunpak on my Nikon I have to turn the Strobe output dial down to 1/64 power for shots to 20'. I could prolly light up my cul-de-sac at night with it at 100% :-)
But I never posted any links because I didn't want to be accused by some 'apparently over medicated' person as a blog pimp ;-)
