Coincidence?
"Dorothee Burkhart was in Frankfurt as recently as October, court papers said"LATimes link
&
". . . investigators said in court documents that a search of Burkhart's Hollywood apartment turned up news articles about the Los Angeles fires as well as a series of car fires in Frankfurt last September."ABC News link
Momma Burkhart was in Frankfurt as recently as October (what about earlier, say September) and where was her son during the time period for which these local newspaper clippings of car fires in Frankfurt were found in their apartment? Newspaper clippings of a local event would indicate he was there in September 2011 collecting/reading/participating(?) in these car fires which is mentioned as having taken place several weeks prior in the paragraph of this article posted 24 October 2011: Wieder brennende Autos in Frankfurt/Burning Cars in Frankfurt Again - Oct. 24, 2011 - via HRonline.de
"Several weeks ago it had given a series of 16 arsons at cars in Frankfurt northwest (Heddernheim, Niederursel, down Eschbach and Praunheim). The police does not assume so far there is a connection to these fires and fires in the Frankfurt west. "(translated via Google's babel fish) Further, Xinhuanet reported:
"Arson attacks on cars are not unusual in Germany, but mostly take place in so-called "alternative neighbourhoods" of Berlin and Hamburg.Xinhuanet link What do we know about these so called "alternative neighborhoods"? Is Frankfurt northwest (Heddernheim, Niederursel, down Eschbach and Praunheim) considered "alternative neighborhoods" as well . . .and are they significantly enriched by one particularly and perpetually aggrieved invasive culture?
In requesting Harry Burkhart be held on no bail, investigators said in court documents that a search of Burkharts Hollywood apartment turned up news articles about the Los Angeles fires AS WELL AS A SERIES OF CAR FIRES IN FRANKFURT LAST SEPTEMBER. Authorities couldnt comment on whether Burkhart is a suspect in the German fires. His bail was set at $2.85 million.[emphasis mine]
On page 2 of that link it further states:
"The extradition request has yet to be drawn up and sent to the German Justice Ministry for relay to U.S. authorities, said Doris Moeller-Scheu, a spokeswoman for Frankfurt prosecutors."
Really? Then consider these good points raised in the comments at LANews (note: these comments as well as others appear to have been purged from that board since last night):
SoCalBeachDude at 11:31 PM January 3, 2012 The heading on this article states For months, authorities scoured West Hollywood, carrying a photo of a squat, green-eyed woman through a bustling hive of Russian-language social clubs and cafes selling borscht and vareniki dumplings. She was Dorothee Burkhart, a fugitive wanted on a host of fraud charges in Germany. Really? Why didnt they just do a simple google search and find her erotic web site with her name and then set up an apppointment with her?"&
SoCalBeachDude at 10:53 PM January 3, 2012 "How exactly if warrants were issued for her arrest in Frankfurt in 2007 did she enter the US in 2007 and remain in the US for the past 4 years? How was she managing to cross back and forth from the US border into and out of Canada (presumable British Columbia) since at least 2005? Arent international warrants and visas checked at border crossings? Was she using any alternative identify? Where was she getting the money to pay high rents, living expenses, and travel extensively when there was no evidence or her working or any means of income? After 4 years or her being in the US, where was there such a sudden focus using lots of police resources in 2001 on her? While 19 fraud counts in Germany are not insignificant, they are all pretty small potatoes stuff and hardly seem to warrant the involvent of the ATF, Interpol, the FBI and other combined task forces? Why was her son granted a long term visa to be in the US? The standard period a German citizen can be in the US without a visa is 90 days, at which time a visa needs to be issued and then renewed if applicable. Why would a visa for the son be renewed for a 4 year period if that was the case? What is really going on here in the case of this alleged fraudulent woman and her alleged arsonist son?"
Is Frankfurt northwest (Heddernheim, Niederursel, down Eschbach and Praunheim) considered “alternative neighborhoods” as well . . .and are they significantly enriched by one particularly and perpetually aggrieved invasive culture?
Okay, I give up. What is an “alternative neighborhood”? Where all the Muslims?
It's hard to tell with these Frankfurt districts. They may be artistic-alternative and run-down, but it sounds like they're well-off liberal-professional areas.
Heddernheim is known for its kindergarten designed by artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Praunheim is known for director Rosa von Praunheim. You can find out more about him online.
"Arson attacks on cars are not unusual in Germany, but mostly take place in so-called "alternative neighbourhoods" of Berlin and Hamburg."The actual meaning of 'alternative' is something I hope to understand with responses to this post. There is reason to question if Harry Burkhart's motives in LA(anti-American outbursts, Chechen origins) and the implied links to the Frankfurt car-b-q's were similar in motive to the notorious car-b-q's of France within it's 762 no-go zones (muslim gangs).
All indications are that it's about anarchists . . .by 'x'Do you have any specific links to confirm this specifically for Frankfurt? I've read articles about the anarchist angle as it related to car-b-q's in Berlin and Hamburg . .. but not for Frankfurt. I'll check into the Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Praunheim topics as time permits. Thanks.
When I was over there, Frankfurt had a reputation as a big drugs-and-crime city.
"Alternativkultur" in Germany is something like the "counterculture" in 1960s America -- hippies, radicals, artists, bohemians, activists, squatters. That sort of thing lasted longer over there than it did over here.
similar in motive to the notorious car-b-q's of France within it's 762 no-go zones (muslim gangs).
That's a toughie. It can be hard to separate out the actions of an underclass that happens to be Muslim and something explicitly and professedly Muslim.
What's been going on in Berlin and Hamburg has been attributed to different origins, though I haven't seen any hard evidence one way or the other.
What could have started with anarchists and activists may have spread far beyond politicized circles.
Berlin-Kreuzberg is considered both an "alternativ" area and the "Turkish" district, so if there is ideologically-motivated or recreational car-burning going on among young people, some Muslims are bound to be involved, without the burnings necessarily having a religious or ethnic motivation.
