Down ballot can be just as, if not more so important. But the potential Pres. voting block is looking fairly unpalatable.

Agree, vote and get involved. There are many many more races than just President. We need a veto proof Tea Party Congress and majorities in the states.

Guys like Boner and McConman need to go. Primaries are coming. No excuses not to get involved.

Right now I think Freepers need to stop doing Obama's job for him by bashing other candidates who might end up on the ballot.

Except Willard. As far as he's concerned, bash away.

Comparing records is fine, but no more juvenile name calling & cheap shots.

I would say this: before you don’t vote for POTUS or do a third party thing, ask yourself if you want two or three more Kagans and Sotomayors on the Supreme Court.

Of course I’ll vote down ballot, but it will be up to Karl Rove and the Establishment to carry their boy Romney because I ain’t votin’ for him if he is the nominee.

There will be NO holding my nose and voting for Romney. There will be no, “where wlse will they go” voting. Where else will I go? I will leave that slot open and not cast a ballot.

Bob Dole

John McCain

Mitt Romney

I’m off the “be a good foot soldier” reservation.

I’ll vote for every thing else if Romney is the nominee for president, I will leave that mark blank.

That’s what I plan on doing.

I refuse choke on Romney’s c_ _ _ in 2012 but I will be voting for other races and any local ballot stuff. Hopefully, we can get the senate.

If I have to, I’ll write myself in for prez.

Maybe Mickey Mouse will finally win.

I will vote for a lawn gnome (for President) if that prevents two more Sotomayor/ Kagan type Justices. Yes, even for Mitt, but just damn, I hope it won’t come to that.

If Romney gets the nod, I am writing in “Jimmy Carter” since he would be an improvement over the clown that holds office now. We are also not voting for any incumbents from the local races through the senate. It is time to impose a one term limit on these elitists.

I will not vote for Paul, Romney or Huntsman.

But I will vote in the down ballot races.

I agree. Even if you don't vote for president vote for your republican congressman, senator and local republican party members.

Paul is a one trick pony who won’t go anywhere after Iowa. With him out of the picture I think that all the anti-Romneys will be someone I can get excited about in the general election. When Palin decided to sit out the election it really became more about getting conservatives packed into congress anyway.

I would add to VOTE in the PRIMARY against ALL and I mean ALL incumbents.

Support your local candidates who are challenging the establishment and the incumbents!!!

This is a scary thread. Imagine if the average Republican voter did what many (most?) Freepers on this thread are threatening to do - not vote for POTUS if X is the candidate. If that happened, 0bama will be ushered back into office with a resounding "mandate". The current incompetent-in-chief could take 60%+ of the popular vote (and 450+ electoral votes).

There is no possible way Romney could be as bad for the country as BHO - even if he tried to screw it up. It will be an all-out tragedy for future generations if we let Barry stay another 4 years because "the GOP didn't go for my favorite guy/gal". Use maalox ... I'll probably have to ... but I'll have to be dead not to vote against BHO.

Grow up ... so our grandkids have a chance to.

You darned right I'll get involved. There is no way in hell I'm going allow this Muzzie/Commie to be reelected if there's ANYTHING I can do about it.

I'll walk over hot coals to vote against Obama.

I will be voting, and from the top of the ticket down. Barack Obama is in no way worthy of the office he holds and needs to be sent away. I will have no part in giving him another four years to destroy my country any further.
