Additionally, the things that she gets at the Dollar Store are of a smaller size. More tailored to a two-person household. For instance, she and dad don't NEED to get a 30-pack of toilet paper. The $1 store size is just fine.
I remember the day when the type of items you find at the dollar Store were made in Japan or China, and were considered cheaply made. All other items and manufactured goods were made in the USA.
Talk about a reverse of fortunes!

I will second that anecdotal observation. Many times I come home from Dollar Tree and realize the label says...Made in the USA...
