Worse than that. She's a Democrat that went through social services employment (as a clinical psychiatrist) before becoming a judge. She is also black, and seemingly harbors racial resentment.
Breaking pointShe reached a breaking point one day when a group of white kids in a car began circling the block around her family’s home. They stopped many times in front of the house and, each time told the family to “go home” while using a racial epithet.
Her father told her to ignore them, but Lee, then 12, decided otherwise.
“I tried to ignore them, but they didn’t go away,” Lee said. “Unbeknownst to my father, I knew where he kept his Colt 45 in the house. Quietly, I went into the house and removed it from its holster. I came back on the front porch and waited for them to come back down the hill again,” she said. They did, shouting the same obscenities. “I stood up, took aim and as I prepared to fire, my father saw me and deflected the shot in the air,” Lee said.
He told her that if she had hit one of the group, she would likely have spent the rest of her life in prison.
Lee grew up angry because of the violence her family faced.
