Everyone knows what they’re getting with Mahr, so don’t look for this boycott to go anywhere. The vast majority of the population has been boycotting him forever, whether they call it a boycott or not. Still, he has enough of an audience that HBO makes a heap of money off of him, so he’s not going anywhere, HBO’s not going anywhere, and likewise the advertisers will stay with him and not go anywhere.
As for Tebow, I’m 48 years old, and I’ve seen exactly two football games from start to finish. I have no dog in that hunt.
I think I have the edge on you in that area. I'm 71 and have seen one game (Navy vs. somebody).
My father used to say "I wouldn't walk across the street to see any football game ever played." I agree.
There are no advertisers on HBO.
A talk show host here in Houston got the last boycott of him started and it got his show on ABC cancelled.
Does he?
I would really like to know his ratings. He's on late Friday night (traditionally the worst TV ratings night) and they don't repeat his show over & over like some of their other series.
There are no advertisers on HBO, so the only money HBO would make on him is by people signing up for HBO just for his show. I don't see that happening with Maher, he's not exactly John Stewart or Steven Colbert.
I would guess HBO keeps him on despite losing money because they are a bunch of Libs
