Stop The Presses! Bill Maher said something controversial! And now people are calling for a boycott of HBO! Amok, Amok, Amok! (via Zap2It.com)
It happened on Christmas Eve after Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos were blown out by the Buffalo Bills. Maher tweeted the following...
Wow, Jesus just f***ed Tim #Tebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is Tebowing, saying to Hitler "Hey, Buffalo's killing them"
OK, OK. Maher probably made 15 jokes before breakfast this morning that were more offensive than this. But this one was about Tebow. And well, people are sensitive when it comes to Tebow, on both sides of the aisle.
On the offensive-meter, this one probably falls somewhere between a Michael Jackson joke (pre-death) and a Indonesian Tsunami joke. Maybe the most offensive thing about the joke is that it just isn't that funny.

Saw clips of this on Fox. What is more irritating is his audience’s laughter.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from being held accountable when saying something stupid. Generally, Maher’s remarks have a ring of hate to them.
Bill Maher is going to end up as just a scorched skidmark in Satan’s toilet bowl, and every time his infernal majesty takes a flaming dump, Maher will hear the words “hey was that funny Bill? Funnier than that garbage you used to serve up on HBO! BWAHAHAHHAAA!!”
You have to love the lib media. Maher is now prefaced as a “comedian” first and not a far left hater/political analyst.
So typical.
why is HBO supporting this?

Everyone knows what they’re getting with Mahr, so don’t look for this boycott to go anywhere. The vast majority of the population has been boycotting him forever, whether they call it a boycott or not. Still, he has enough of an audience that HBO makes a heap of money off of him, so he’s not going anywhere, HBO’s not going anywhere, and likewise the advertisers will stay with him and not go anywhere.
As for Tebow, I’m 48 years old, and I’ve seen exactly two football games from start to finish. I have no dog in that hunt.
Gaines needs to put a Cork in it.
Now that I can answer!
1)True Blood. My wife got me into it, and we never miss an episode.
2) Boardwalk empire. TV at it’s absolute finest. I got my wife into this one.
3)Boxing. Didn’t get the wife interested.
4)The best for last: Game of Thrones.

Maher is the scum of the earth. Hope some bright day to hear news about him drowning in his own vomit.
Tim Tebow, I’m certain, gives 100% when he plays a football game but he knows what is more important. And Bill Maher’s remarks are no where on Tim’s list of what is important in life.
If a rumor is started that Bill Maher is going to make fun of allah or the pervprophet they would rush out to say “We’re sorry, so very sorry.” If we started those rumors we could destroy his career, speaking hypothetically of course.
I’ve always said that if Maher wasn’t an ‘entertainer’ on TV, he’d be a serial killer.
I think I have the edge on you in that area. I'm 71 and have seen one game (Navy vs. somebody).
My father used to say "I wouldn't walk across the street to see any football game ever played." I agree.
There are no advertisers on HBO.
A talk show host here in Houston got the last boycott of him started and it got his show on ABC cancelled.
Since the very first time I saw/heard him on TV by accident, I have made a bit of effort to avoid seeing him. Sort of like when walking through a pasture, one avoids the cow patties.
He is repulsive both physically and verbally. Why would anyone want to listen to such filth?
Bill Maher is, obviously, a very tormented person; you know, the suicide by cop type. He’s a minion of the devil. The Pied Piper of Hades, taking his audience with him.
These are the jokes? I come from a family of television comedy writers and these jokes are anything but. Forget the bad taste, just plain not passing the fun meter.
