From the article, it looks like the company that owned the helicopter.

Astonishing - wonder who paid for the petrol???????

The cost of the petrol was probably significantly less than the positive press "Bristow helicopter service" has rec'd due to their assistance in finding the dog ...

Not to add the secondary benefit in getting some real-world SAR experience for their pilot(s).

I’ll need to go back and read the article;) LOL!!

There seemed to be some resentment in the UK comments - A private helicopter company ? Hmmm - thought every asset was ‘state’ property. That’s encouraging.

I love dogs. And it is wonderful that this dog was found for his loving family. But...my comment is not about the dog.

I have a "pet" peeve:

What is it with this "went missing/gone missing" expression that is being used the past few years? First, it is grammatically incorrect, and people using it just sound stupid. Secondly...why isn't the word "disappeared" being used anymore? It is a perfectly good word...more correct...and certainly more appropriate. How can someone or something "went missing?"

[Welcome back, Joe! I hope your Christmas was wonderful!]

Rocker Gene Simmons’s dog Snoopy disappeared, and he hired a helicopter owner to take him up looking among the canyons where he lives. Ya never know how much reality is actually involved in “reality shows,” but anyway that’s how it was depicted on his show Family Jewels.

Eventually they got the dog back, but I can’t recall if the copter had anything to do with it.

Went missing is a Britishism, gone missing is southern. Accept that the Brits can do whatever they like with their language, we’re all a bunch of dumb hicks who can’t talk right anyway (lol) and you’ll be much happier.
