Fox News -
Under the law, the benefits package must include such fundamentals as inpatient and outpatient care, emergency services, maternity and childhood care, prescription drugs, preventive screenings and labs. It must cover mental health and substance abuse treatment, as well as rehabilitation for physical and cognitive disorders. Such add-ons are often not fully covered by frugal plans that are now the best that many small businesses can afford.
Oh, you're gonna pay. But what? $500 a month per person? $750? $1000?
I've looked everywhere and can't find any prices attached to Hussein's grand scheme. Sure it was a huge document but SOMEONE must've read it by now.
no idea, but whatever it is, is more expensive than last week!
If I understand recent news reports, no one can tell, because they’ve abandoned the second most obnoxious feature (the first being the mandate) and “as the Secretary [of HHS] shall determine” had been “determined” by Sibelius to be “as the states shall determine” at least in regard to what a “qualifying plan” is, meaning the cost and details of benefits will vary from state to state if the whole thing isn’t killed by the courts or repealed by a GOP Congress and President come Jan. 2013.
In New Hampshire a policy like that for a family of four costs around $2300 per month with a $10,000 deductible. I know because I've read the quotes from the insurance companies. Lower deductibles, like the ones required by Obamacare push the cost up even higher.
That level of cost is one more reason why Obamacare is doomed to fail. Few families can afford to pay over $27,000 a year for health insurance, and the rest of us can't afford to subsidize the vast majority of families who can't afford the premiums.
I just priced Washington States’s “Washington Health Plan”, which is a non-subsidized version of Washington’s Basic Health Plan. My premium at age 57 would be $254/month, for $100,000 of coverage annually, $500/yr deductible. I will have to switch to this next July.
Nonsense. Chairman Obama said if I liked my insurance I could keep it.
The complete destruction of medicine, liberty and the Constitution. Put me in prison. I'm not paying.
I know, I am in the same boat. And I am scared to death...but if I die before the mandates hit I have worried for nothing.
Naw really, the worst they do is keep your refund, right? If you don’t have a refund they can’t really force you to pay it either. You pay the required taxes, just not the 0bamacare penalty.
I don’t think you will know the cost until sometime late in 2013 after the exchanges are set-up.
Ohio returned a million dollar grant to the federal gov’t regarding setting up their exchanges.
He wasn't asking about the price of healthcare, he was asking about the size of the tribute that Emperor Obama will be extracting, under the guise of healthcare.
I wish this were true. My rates have doubled since Obamacare passed, and others' rates have gone up much more than that.
$2100 a month???
I’ve tried to explain to people how Obamacare sets us up for a huge health train wreck. Obamacare drives private insurers out of the market, but it doesn’t replace them with a full nationalized system. The result is no system at all, with Doctors and Hospitals unfunded.
Kerblooey.
“The complete destruction of medicine, liberty and the Constitution.”

Absolutely right but I still have a nagging feeling that you may have overlooked something.
I should have prefaced that by adding -depending on your state. If your state has less unfunded mandates, then when they hit, the affect on your premiums will be much more dramatic such as a doubling or even trebling of premium. Since the intent is to destroy the private insurance market, there will be a thresh hold or a point at which the premium will too large to pay. Then, when a significant portion of the population is uninsured, they will then force the single payer system on us. Or, at least they think it will be their best opportunity to 'break us'.
That’s a possibility.
Oh, you mean the fine for being a responsible, non-minority.
