When you consider the fact that muslims have been referred to as “Barbarians” since the beginning of recorded history and that the Romans built a wall around their entire world to keep them out, why is everybody surprised. Hell if you would just read a little history like we had to way back when, you would know better than to ever think that Muslims could live in peace with any other society or religion, they are cockroaches.

The Romans built walls across Britain, to keep out the Picts, and across parts of Germany, to keep out the Germans.

They never built any long walls that I’m aware of in the Middle East. At the time the Arabs were nothing resembling a threat. The later empire had major problems with the Sassanid Persians, but they were Zoroastrians, not Muslims.

Anywho, Islam arose centuries after the (Western) Empire collapsed. The Eastern (Byzantine) Empire fought them for 800 years, but its defense strategy didn’t include huge walls, AFAIK.
