All the special effects and shock gore used by todays directors cannot match the old B&W creature feature films.

My favorite is Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein(1948)....
with Lon Chaney Jr. as Larry Talbot/the Wolfman.
Bela Lugosi as Dracula
and
Glenn Strange as Frankenstein

Ah, but the movie has out lived this review!
Was the movie perfect? No, it has its problems. But it was a great time waster, and it, the character, and Lon Chaney, Jr., lived on in infamy...

Great movie-—Evelyn Ankers married actor Richard Denning .....one of the few successful Hollywood marriages.

This is one of my favorites of the genre. Lon Chaney Jr. does a great job as Lawrence Talbot.
To: Vaquero
Chaney: “You don’t understand! Tonight when the full moon comes out, I’ll turn into a wolf!”.
Costello: “You and six million other guys!”.

Glenn Strange eventually went on to play the bartender in “Gunsmoke” on TV. He’s also the guy in the shootout with James Arness in the opening credits.
