More than likly Kennedy’s daughter was sterilized prior to being committed because of Margaret Sanger evil plan to keep the unfit from breeding. A person like Kennedy’s daughter was a perfect candidate because she was “feeble minded” and Sanger wanted all to keep all people like that from having children.
Of course in the institutions they had back then it just made it easier to hide their crimes.
My general understanding has been that Joe Kennedy Sr. had her sterilized just prior to being institutionalized out of a fear of the type things that he believed went on in such institutions.
