Given that Obozo considers Joe Biteme to be such an expert on forgien policy I guess io should have expected such a Many comment from him about the Taliban not being our enemy.
My MIL is a dem and at 90 yo has a crush on Joe...LOL Makes for interesting conversations. She thinks he is so intellectual. (sigh) A+++

What does she have to base that opinion on? I seriously wonder, I’m not being a wise guy. When has he ever said anything even close to savvy?
She hates FOX, loves the view girls....gets her news from the alphabet channels....lives in the past. She seems to have a hate on for conservatives, yet she is Catholic to the core, but does not vote on the abortion issue at all. What can more can I say?
The good news is, except for her two daughters, all 5 of her sons are conservative. Voting accordingly. Grandchildren are mostly conservative. Her husband was the pubbie in the family and he always said he had to get to voting booth to negate hers.
She gets seriously upset if we discuss politics with her, we start to panic watching her. We have learned NOT to discuss them with her anymore. Otherwise at 90 she still drives, lives in her own home, is organized...cooked dinner for over 20 on Thanksgiving. It’s just the political thing that sends her over the edge.
I think it’s wise not to discuss politics with her. When it gets down to core issues, I have friends of different political persuasions(not family) but it reveals what is really important to them.
I am reading her bit on the Immaculate Conception and roARing....she is GOOD!
Actually, she lives for her TV. Her husband has died, her children cannot be there 24/7...so it’s the TV and the core channels only. These are her daily friends and she thinks like them because she spends her days with them. She needs the world to come to her and it does...with Joy and Whoopi on the view and the newscasters she has always listened to. She even likes Ellen, my SIL is a lesbo, so that’s ok to her.
Now I have her youtube vids going while I cook and clean in the kitchen.

After the gym, that is. I really have to go because I now have some major work stress to work out.
I am listening to her series on Islam. She describes American doctors in Afghanistan who had the men bringing their wives to them to find out why they were not getting pregnant. After extensive testing there was nothing they could find wrong. They brought in female doctors who began asking the wives questions. Seems that they were ALL having anal sex. The men had no idea what sex with a woman was. Can you imagine a whole community of men who had never had normal vaginal sex and didn’t even know what it was? When they did learn what it was they were disgusted. Now that is evil.
