Letting her hair down: The Duchess of Cambridge arrives at the Imperial War Museum in London for the Sun Military Awards in a strapless black velvet dress

Many more pictures at the source. All I can say is "Wow"! I am sure that all eyes were on the Dutchess.

The dress is absolutely stunning! She is a beautiful woman (although just to be catty.... her arms are a little “Ah-nold” for my tastes)

Looks great in that dress. Since she has such a straight up and down figure, one has to wonder what that corset looks like.

Pretty girl.

That whole “titles and nobility and we’re better than you are because of our bloodlines” crap? Blech.

Check out the pictures at the source. She’s certainly not preggers yet.

She would look good in a brown paper sack.

Guess paparrazzi wasn’t allowed in, I can’t make out the dress in the dark, rainy night against the wet, dark steps.

She is far more fetching than Diana. She has a very lovely face.

I wish that we had such a First Lady... stunningly beautiful... of poise... with dignity and grace. Instead we get a cross dressing cousin of Chewbacca.

The black dress, by David and Elizabeth Emanuel (who designed her wedding gown), was worn by a 19-year-old Diana to her first official appearance after her engagement to Prince Charles – and earned her the tabloid nickname “Daring Di” for its low neckline and bare shoulders.

Time for a musical interlude:

Duchess of Earl

Duchess Conquers Duke

She is a beautiful girl and looks stunning in that dress.

The color is a little strange though. The Royal Family usually wears black only for mourning.

As a woman, I think Kate and Pippa are incredibly beautiful. They ooze class without trying. I’m a brunette as well, and they just have the perfect shade of brown on their heads.

Also, as someone on the thin side (5 foot 4, 110-115 lbs, depending on the time of the month, LOL), I can vouch about the arm thing. My ‘baby’ is now four, but when he was younger, and I was lifting him on a regular basis, my arms looked a lot more muscular on top than they do now. I’ve had four babies, and the same thing happens each time they are young and getting picked up on a regular basis.

Classic: Kate, whose shiny brunette locks were styled in loose curls, wore a chunky silver necklace and matching earrings and a bracelet which she received as a wedding gift

Nobody has mentioned that elegant necklace yet.
