"Her addition to the ticket, which wouldn’t come until late next summer, would dramatically change the dynamics of the 2012 election. As a black woman - her family has roots in the Deep South stretching back to before Civil War era, and worked as sharecroppers after emancipation - she would mute Democrats’ charges of racism among conservatives, especially tea party members. And her sex would likely prompt moderate women to take a serious look at the Republican ticket."

"Plus, her selection would be a giant chess move to counter the expected replacement of Vice President Joseph R. Biden with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Sure, the White House denies and denies, but that should really make any political watcher more suspicious. One White House insider even told me that the position swap was the only reason Mrs. Clinton joined the administration in the first place..."

Sorry, no. She is a person of tremdendous accomplishment, but the unproductive approaches of the last 10 years are not what we need today.

On the surface, the idea intrigues me.

However, the electoral math might dictate a choice of someone who could deliver a particular swing state.

However, if Newt gets the nod, I can see him inviting Condi for the ride...

she is the one that thought it was ok to give weapons to the palestinian “police force”.....at the time the palestinians “promised” not to use them against israel... as soon as they got them, they used them against israel.. a numbskull like this should never have any position of power anywhere at anytime

She voted for Obama. Putting her on the ticket would be insane.

Bull Pucky

name one significant contribution she made to our national security or foreign policy

I would bet she voted for obama, just like Colin Powell

If she was a white man, she would be teaching JR college somewhere- maybe- without tenure

Condi Rice is probably the most incompetent National Security Advisor this country has ever had, and the second most incompetent Secretary of State, after Madeline Halfbright. She was the one who pushed for elections in Pakistan and Gaza/West Bank, and look where that got us. Moreover, she just loves Obama. That alone disqualifies her from any future National office.

Condi Rice defends Obama foreign policy

Rice meets with Obama, then defends his administration's approach

NO.

Allen West for veep in 2012, for president in 2020!

Let’s besiege the editorial page of the Washington Times with our opinions on this. The people on Third Street in DC read it and note what’s on its pages.

To be honest, I don’t think Condi would run. I think she has some areas of vulnerability in her private life and doesn’t want to lose her privacy.

Would not believe, so readily; the 'insde the White House scource'. There is a whole lot of 'Brer Rababit' gamesmanship going on here. Or, just the 'battle of wits' as unfolds in poison scene in Princess Bride.

Take nothing; any of these people say; at face value.

“(Condoleezza could accept VP nod)”

On which ticket? Like Colon Powell, didn’t Condo back Barry in 2008?

I can’t imagine any conservative picking her.

What are her domestic policy positions?

They talked about this on Hannity tonight (Fred Thompson the guest host-no hannnity). Shannon Tweed said she would like Marco Rubio. The guy from the marshall RTucker band said he liked Condi but liked Perry better and Bob Beckel was Bob Beckel.
