We’re taking Amtrak (Southwest Chief) from Flagstaff to Chicago (32 hour train ride).You're going to pass within 250' of my house. And stop there, too. Might even meet Bob my neighbor.

they have outlets, but make sure to bring snacks and drinks in backpacks. The snackbar prices can break the bank if you’re not careful.
The dining car food isn’t anything to rave about and is a bit overpriced.
pillows and blankets, especially pillows. they only have those like you’d find an airline.
We took the SW Chief from LA to Raton NM this past summer on our way to Philmont. Some real pretty country and some real ugly (trash) country.
