When I had an issue with my HP laptop, the customer service lady said it was out of warranty, said if I paid $100 she would try to fix it remotely and if she couldn’t she would refund the money.
She couldn’t and she didn’t.
I will never give HP another cent
Is der ein reset ?
Bttt...
Thank Carley, and mark HP off of your approved vendors list, and re-list them under the 'ohhellno' list.
Sorry. But that's the only solution I see.
I've also delisted Linksys from my approved vendors list.
Sad when formerly good companies get stupid and go bad.

Have the owner shut it down for an hour until the board memory is cleared of all messages. Have them unplug the printer for fifteen minutes more after turning it off. Then have them plug it back in and start it up. See if that helps clear the message board. Also, if they get the message again have them press and hold the green check button for 4 seconds, but only after you’ve gone through the first steps.
I will NEVER buy another HP product either.
I have a computer that has extra drie bays that are weldd shut. I had to snap off the plastic in front to access the CDROM drive
My new HP Printer that I got as a replacement for the last POS that broke shakkes like it is going to knock itself apart.
The copies are terrible and the printer disconects every time i turn off my computer- i have to DELETE it and then ADD ANOTHER PRINTER in order to use it, every time
HP sux hard
I think HP puts time bombs into everything they manufacture. After the warrantee expires, the device fails. We went through several PCs, and all the peripheral devices before we figured that out. The last three HP computers we had crashed due to the killwind.exe file. HP preloaded the PCs with that virus. I don’t know if it was on the previous computers, but it probably was, and it was probably the reason those PCs crashed too. We couldn’t remove the file. Every time I tried to delete it or uninstall the backweb agent related to it, it replicated itself into random folders throughout the hard drive. The more we tried to remove it, the more aggressively it multiplied. We tried formatting the hard drives, but it replicated itself onto the restoration discs. Norton recognized it as a virus, but was unable to remove it or even quarantine it. Every time we tried to remove it or quarantine it, the computer shut off, and when we turned it back on there were more copies of the file. We had purchased both of the last two computers within a couple months of each other. We purchased an extended warrantee for both, and they both crashed right after the warrantee expired.
HP sux.
I had to buy a Vista machine a while back, and the three-year-old HP printer would not work. No driver. I went to their website for a driver, and it said there would be no driver for Vista, my solution would be to buy a new HP printer.
Guess what two letters of that advice I rejected?
The toner cartridges and transfer kits that come with a new laser printer do not print nearly as many pages as the replacement ones (usually only about 15%). If they did, it would double the cost of the printer. You can reset the page count as shown in 6SJ7’s post, but you will not get anywhere near 200,000 copies.
Your printer has a built in web Admin.
If it is attached to a network enter the printers ip address
in your computers browser.
Navigate to settings, Configure device, resets, reset supplies
and select new fuser kit and then click apply.
Your sister is lucky she got 20,000 and two years off her HP color laser printer. I only got one year and about 150 copies off mine and then it had to be junked. Fortunately, I bought the warranty at Best Buy and it was replaced with another brand of printer. I paid $180 for the printer and the replacement printer cost $79. It’s been fine, but it’s only been about a year and maybe 100 copies.
Oh, my printers were ink jets, but it’s probably same difference. I have found with HP if you buy the expensive printers you’re much better off. My printer at the office cost $600 and it’s a champ but it’s not color either.
scroll down to the service selection on your control panel and enter the Pin #04950003,try to reset the transfer count in that menu
