In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
ephemeral;adj.
1. lasting a very short time; short-lived; transitory: the ephemeral joys of childhood. 2. lasting but one day: an ephemeral flower
Etymology: C16: from Greek ephēmeros lasting only a day, from hēmera day]
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Found it:
Chicken Wing Dip
4 cooked chicken breasts, cubed or shredded.
In a skillet cook until smooth:
10oz cream cheese and 8oz bottle ranch dressing.
Add:
10ox bottle of Franks Red Hot Chicken Sauce
Chopped celery (to your liking)
Chicken
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Place in 9x13” pan and top with Monterey Jack Cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

mine too! all four of my grandparents were off the boat from Eastern Europe. Both maternal grandparents from Lithuania, paternal grandpa from Poland, paternal grandma from Ukraine. Maybe our grandparents passed by each other on Ellis Island : )
