He might have been endorsing himself for vice president if Newt gets the nod. Later in the debates he talked about how you could deliver Pennsylvania or at least win in Pennsylvania. I thought the implication was that he could deliver it as vice president.

I think Newt should consider the choice if Marco Rubio declines.

I think that Rubio, Santorum, and Perry will be on one of his lists, as well as many others. I almost bet that it will be a total surprise to most of us. Personally, I was in favor of John Bolton, but Bolton as SOS is probably as good, or even better.
