had a libertarian tell me the other day we don’t need laws for morals.
MMMMMMMM OK then should we do away with murder, rape, incest etc?
Then I got a reply saying well Govt should not be involved with sex or marriage.
OK lets go by that then.
Govt should not be involved in incest, sex with little kids, etc.
Funny when you ask them do you want fathers marrying their daughters or sex with dogs in public they never reply back.
Yes it all sounds well no Govt laws until you go more in depth with it.
The left also if you do not mind me adding like to put a positive word on their agenda, example.
Amnesty is the dream act.
Homosexuals are gay.
they have sites called American values.
Groups which say they are for gun owners are really liberals trying their lies again.
It goes on and on with them.
The family is what got us a great country , for instance behind every great man is a great woman, they then pass their genes onto their children and give them those morals.
Exactly. Sex has consequences, and sexual perversion has many victims. Why are the animal rights people not outraged at bestiality?? Surely that is a form of animal abuse.
They always use Orwellian names for their groups, for example, “People for the American Way” is anything but American. And for their causes and evil legislation as well. I know full well their intentions are always the opposite of what they openly speak.
The family is the backbone of any free and decent society. The family is the best educator, the best provider, the best inventors, etc.
Government certainly has a right and a duty to legislate against rape, murder and incest. Those involve force and violating the rights of others. But I don’t think government has any business legislating private morality such as who you can have sex with (excepting children), what you can think, what kind of food you can eat or what god you should pray to. Those involve the natural right of self determination. Marriage falls under public morality and can be legislated. It involves consent of others. Likewise with drugs because they impair judgement and are a danger to others besides the one taking them. Likewise abortion because it involves the life of others.
