Rolling in the Deep" singer's no Jane Sixpack
Some singers' contracts stipulate that the red jelly beans have to be removed. Adele's backstage rider says keep the American beer away from her.
In her boilerplate contract, the British singer goes out of her way to diss stateside suds. She must have 12 bottles of beer on her bus, but it can't be just any beer. It must be the "best quality European lager beer." Beck's, Stella Artois, Peroni, the pact suggests helpfully.
Then, for the band's and crew's buses, only "good quality local lager" is acceptable. "NOT Budweiser, Miller or similar 'National' brand," the rider, obtained by thesmokinggun.com, states.
She also goes out of her way to insult California, insisting on two bottles of wine from Italy, France, Spain or Australia.
The "Rolling in the Deep" singer does approve of American chocolate bars, including Milky Ways, and there appears to be no anti-American sentiment in her demands for milk, orange juice and mineral water.
Oh, and anyone getting into the show for free has to pony up for charity, according to the rider. People receiving comped tickets must donate a minimum of $20 for charity upon pickup, and this is non-negotiable. There will be no exception to this rule, according to the document.
I gotta be the first to ask; who the f*^& is this b-i-itch and why is he/she in the US?
Two words - Yuengling porter
No Sierra Nevada?
No Anchor Brewing?
No Brooklyn Brewing?
Sounds like she has good taste. I also like that she requires charity for those getting comps.
I’ve seen pictures of her... She should probably consider a low carb Michelob...
“I gotta be the first to ask; who the f*^& is this b-i-itch and why is he/she in the US?”
She’s one heck of a great singer. Look her up on Youtube (Albert Hall or the Letterman show). And I agree with her: Miller beer,Budweiser all suck,
Rolling in the Deep can go roll in the dogsh_t as far as I’m concerned. Not that I’m any fan of American beer, but it’s poor form to come into someone’s home and insult the hostess’s cooking.
There are many fine brews in the US. I’m an IPA fan and there are tons of micro-brewed IPA’s out there.
This is what I’m saying. I mean, I understand if she doesn’t want Bud Light in the way of the beer, but there is so much good beer out there if you take the time to look.
One must maintain standards - and the risk of being slipped a Coors, or even a Schlitz, is ever-present.
Alaskan Amber.
She's not insulting anyone. That's simply her list and she can do as she pleases. And for the record, she's from the UK and thinks the high taxation of socialism sucks.
She’s a talented singer who has conservative leanings (don’t know more than that).
Miller, Bud, et al. are crap. I’ve made my own beer since I was 18 and never tried the watery urine that passes for beer at most bars until I was over 21. I was absolutely shocked that they made people wait until they were 21 to drink this stuff. Give it to them at 15 and they’ll give up on drinking altogether.
There are some amazing beers that are 100% all-American, which she allows in her contract. I’m a poor schmo and the only time I drink the tainted water “beer” is when it is offered in friendship and it would be rude to not accept.
Having said all that, she could skip some beers to lose a few hundred pounds.
She is the UK’s version of Sara Palin.
I am not a wine drinker but here in CA we have some of the best wines in the world. As for Beer, yep Bud sucks, but she has obviously never had a Sam Adams Boston lager or a Sierra Nevada lager. There are others that put any EU beer to shame. This B***h needs to get her a** out of the USA, she can take our money but she hates the country.
That was my first thought -- damn good beer.
Yup, don’t serve any bud, Miller, or Coors in my house either. But, there are plenty of good American beers.
She’s a British singer with an amazing voice and talent that puts many celebrity popstars to shame. Now skimpy outfits, dance moves, or remixes for her. She doesn’t need it.

So, don't drink 'em. Pay extra for those overly bitter, skunky tasting European brews. Or try Sam Adams Black Lager and keep the extra bucks at home.
