Gingrich will do nothing to stop this holocaust.

Exactly. What someone thinks might have been said isn’t the guy stating the fact himself. The new Newt is the same old Newt. Career politician.

I’m tired of conservatives trying to write off every liberal thing Gingrich says as media manipulations. Its no different or better than when the media actually does do it.

If life begins at conception, which it does, than we are dealing with persons.

And the U.S. Constitution explicitly and imperatively forbids the killing of innocent persons.

I’m betting Gingrich, nor any of his Republican competitors, are willing to have that conversation.

They couldn’t care less about the personhood, Fourteenth Amendment Reagan plank that has been in their platform for the last 27 years, or its logical moral, constitutional, legal ramifications.

The merging of the cells from each of the parents....half from mom and half from dad....aka conception....the beginning of a NEW individual....protected from harm in its mother's womb. Pretty amazing!!

Even the concept of aborting a baby is repulsive. But a right?? When it is totally defenseless??

And those same abortionists scream with anger if a kid gets spanked by his parents or gets shaken to death or etc etc....

“LifeNews,” which is nothing but a shill for a corrupt National Right to Life Committee, specializes in providing cover for Republican politicians. That’s what they do. That’s why they exist.

But Gingrich is all over the board on life, and his actions do NOT line up with a “life from conception” position, no matter what he says in the midst of a campaign.

He supports all sorts of policies and legislation that do not provide equal protection for all persons as the Constitution requires.

And he also supports pro-abortion politicians for public office.

So, I don’t trust or believe a word he says.

...half from mom and half from dad....aka conception.

It's actually more like 2/3 from mom and 1/3 from Dad. Good ole mitochondrial DNA saves the day again.

Before I call you a liar, maybe you could clarify exactly what you meant by “this” holocaust. What “this”?

If you meant generally, “the holocaust of abortion”, then you are a liar. Did you not read Newt’s quotes in the article? Are you not aware of Newt’s pro life record?

He said it and compounded it with some convoluted technical doubletalk. He thinks he’s so brilliant we wouldn’t understand the difference. When we did, he easily and glibly slipped back into the conception meme. He is nothing if not glib.
This will come up again when he tries to explain his support for embryonic stem cell research which is on hold right now.

I said on the other thread that I hope he means it. But it’s hard to see this as anything but flipflopping. Saying in an interview that life does NOT begin at conception, but at successful implantation, is not just a careless accident. No way that it could be. This has been discussed for decades, Newt has been thoroughly familiar with the arguments.

He himself raises the question of embryonic stem cell research, and you have to wonder if he isn’t preparing the ground to cave on that. And almost certainly he is thinking of day-after contraceptives, and tacitly giving his approval to them.

Finally, if he is willing to compromise on killing unborn human beings at the early stages, and on the teachings of the Catholic Church to which he now belongs, then he cannot be trusted not to compromise further. Because the history of abortion has always been to start with the little things and gradually expand them. But there’s nothing “little” about killing inconvenient human beings. And evidently he is perfectly happy to do so, unless it might cost him some votes.

Newt said it and now he’s scrambling trying to put out the firestorm he created. Some things said cannot be repaired. Bye Newt.

Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.
