Mother, mother, mother, mother...STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP.
This son of yours has a wonderful life in front of him IF he learns his lesson from this situation. Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. Your son will turn this around. God is on your son's side and He will make this evil to be good in your son's life. Now rest in your Faith that God is sovereign and NOTHING is going to happen to your son that the Father has not designed for the better of your son's life. Rest, rest...and know that this is going to be ok.

Having one wild child, I have gone back to this verse many times. It does not say he won't detour at times, it says "when he is old he will not depart from it". He's finally 30 and he's back on track, back to the son I was always proud of, but it was a crazy 10 years before he straightened up!
