I doubt it. Amerika is so far down the road, I think this was the last chance to put the brakes on. Whether it’s Obama, Gingrich, or
Romney, we’re just talking speed, not direction.

Exactly right.

you deserve what you get...

all those other candidates are weak.
They cannot defeat Obama.

The ‘definition of cool’ has to be defeated to beat obama.

This race is a popularity contest because of Obama.

You needed someone that can say things to Obama that others can’t

It is sad you guys can’t see this.

You are running against Mr. Popular... none of these guys can compete with that.

Herman Cain brought that factor into play.

The goal to win this is defeat the ‘Definition of Cool’

But of course like sheep you are thinking the issues are gonna win it.

Sorry nope!

Like sheep conservatives motto is BRING US BARABBAS!

Somebody bring me a damn drink! lol

>>Got that right. The High Level DC Hack Gingrich has a ton of baggage. Yet, Cain is given a high tech lynching.

The sad difference is, Newt will spit in their faces.

Cain needed to take a whip to this the FIRST TIME it came out. What he should have done is send out a female with EXTRAORDINARY CLAIMS and then have her show up at the press conference with a smile and a notification to the press that it was all a lie.

Cain needed to go hero.

I think of that when I look at all the naked car bumpers in my neighborhood. These people don't want BO. They don't know who they DO want.

I went home to California for a visit in April of 2010. Out of my entire family, I am the ONLY one who voted against Obama in 2008. The rest of the clan are dyed-in-the-wool liberal Democrats. Yet not a single one of them was still sporting an Obama bumper sticker on their car.

During my visit, the subject of politics inevitably came up, and for the first time in many years, they all just sat and listened, as I held forth on politics and current events. Obama's name never came up. Not even once, even though he'd only been in office about fifteen months at the time.

Knowing my family as I do, I honestly didn't know what to make of that. Just one year before, they'd all been exultant about his election.

Holding the presidency won’t make either party love the third party candidate should they win. What is gained again?

I agree with you as I held my nose & voted for Dole & McCain & will not vote for another RINO especially not Romney nor Perry. I hate that the media & the National Republic Party decides who, we the people, have to vote for even if we don’t want that person to be President. The Democrat Party is now the Socialist Party, the Republican Party is now th Democrat Party & the Tea Party is the old Republican Party. I was a Democrat, changed to a Reagan Republic & now will change to Independent.

Good point. A successful third party starts in Congress, not the White House.

The moron GOPbot squad around here still to busy high fiving their successful high tech lynching of Cain to figured it out.

Their candidate is next.

Lesson 1 for 2012. No proof or evidence is any longer required if the target is a Consevative Tea Party Republican. All that matters is that the accusations have have been made

Now that the political establishment media scumbags on both sides have decide “Accusation equals proof” these same tactics of political lynching will be used against EVERY Conservative GOP candidate for Senate and House in 2012.

So the GOPbot squad can enjory their moronic Pyrrhic victory today. These same sleazy tactics they were so quick to embrace and pimp will now be used against their candidates.

How’s this for engagement - Name one person (aside from Preident Reagan) who has done more for conservatism over the past 30 years than Newt?

MNJohnnie, since 1800 there have been presidential elections in this country involving allegations of personal impropriety against candidates in the PUBLIC domain, and you’re not the first to stumble upon this fact.

While sympathetic to Mr. Cain’s beliefs and policies, the burden was always upon Mr. Cain to prove publicly, as a Public person, that he was both up to the task of running for and being President, including an ability to navigate through any and all allegations of any nature to keep his eye on the ball of his Public policies. The burden was never upon any of his proponents to “wish him” into office against all perils he would face.

He was not forced to run for the office by anyone except himself, and he was not forced by anyone, except himself, to suspend his campaign.

From this point, actually it begin when they ran Palin out, no Conservative candidate will be nominated. Only Establishment Republican, main stream media, and Democrat Party approved candidates will get the Republican Party nomination. And the only reason this will be is that we are a two party system and the Democrats must have a token opponent.

Um,you can call me all the names you want, but the facts are glaringly clear. Cain didn't have the stones to knock this smear into the middle of next week. The man simply didn't stand up for himself, and that's all i've been saying.Instead of attacking me,why not ask why Cain or his campaign advisers didn't stand up to the smear, produce evidence to knock it out,and then move on?
By the way, genius,i'm neither a bot or a moron (and for your information,I haven't settled on a candidate yet.) YOU,however, just may be a moron,if you read the post I submitted and then have the inane stupidity to twist it into something you think it should be.
Now...back off.

Cain's experience running a business might not translate into knowing how to be President, where he would have to deal with politicians elected in their own right, not just with employees and subordinates. On the subjects he knows something about, he seems to be prety rigid--his ideas are right and everyone else's are wrong. He somehow thought he could get all the way to being elected without boning up on major foreign policy issues--Libya hasn't been exactly an obscure country in 2011. His handling of the allegations against him was ham-handed if he is as innocent as he claims to be--if he were President he'd be faced with a lot more serious crises, and that was the best clue we have as to how well he'd be able to respond to them.

Obama is a constant reminder of why it is good to have a President with some previous executive experience. Of the remaining candidates there are still some ex-governors: Perry, Romney, Huntsman. I don't think Santorum or Bachmann are electable anyway but their lack of executive experience would not help them win votes. Gingrich is riding high for the moment but this could be another bubble like Bachmann, Perry, and Cain briefly enjoyed.
