I planted my collards and brussle sprouts too late and they sprouted quickly, but have stayed at 1-2in tall. Plus, I can't find any good collards at the store. Not a good situation for a transplanted southerner raised on greens.

My collards stayed in the 1-2 inch phase far quite awhile. Then I fed them some miracle grow (my compost wont be ready until spring) and they took off. Now they seem to just about double in size every other day.
