“...stage lighting...”
That is one where good old capitalism is taking care of it already. The move to LED lighting for stage application is happening faster than the transition from vinyl LP’s to CD’s.
I can not imagine any venue with a functioning stage using anything but LED’s and lasers within five years.

I love the LEDs for stage lighting. I worked in the sound industry for a couple of years when LED stage lighting first started. MUCH COOLER stages.
My thought as I was drive in town today is what about the auto industry? I have 20+ bulbs on/in this car, if ONE is out is fails inspection. Will I be able to replace all the bulbs in the car with LEDs? I have not seen LEDs for all the auto bulbs I have.
