Los Angeles (CNN) -- Conrad Murray was sentenced Tuesday to four years behind bars in the death of Michael Jackson.
Murray was convicted three weeks ago after a trial in which prosecutors successfully argued that Murray's reckless use of the surgical anesthetic propofol to help Jackson sleep, without proper monitoring equipment, led to the singer's death.

With overcrowding and California’s early release for non-violent offenders program, this guy will be out in a few months.

Whew....Good to know that Michael wasn't a druggie AND A PERV. The doctor made him a druggie.
Michael was a talent gone awry. Too bad. He could have done good things instead of just make money, money, money.

This “doctor” was being paid a million a year by Jackson to provide him with illegal perscription drugs. He killed Jackson in the process. If the only downside to being caught is a couple years then many would conclude the “doctor” came out way ahead on the deal and it was worth it.
To: al baby
Plus the Jackson family is suing him for hundreds of millions of dollars in lost wages from Michael Jackson.
This guy will be in court the rest of his life.

No kidding. I kept thinking that no matter what the sentence is, it will have expired by the time the judge shuts the hell up.

He should have got a medal and a pat on the back for doing, if only by accident, what one of the fathers of Jackson’s victims should have done.

I guess that the lesson here is if you are an MD and you treat a drug addict and he dies, you are guilty. In the end though, one has to feel sorry for Jackson.

This man doesn't have a penny to offer these MILLIONARES! So, at best they will get a court ruling/piece of paper that means absolutely NOTHING! They would do better to crumple that ruling/paper up several times to soften it and use it for toilet paper!
This guy also lost his medical license, which means he will be flipping burgers or something else of great prominence for the rest of his life and they won't get crap - although I think that is what they deserve - crap!

Treat? a drug addict?
More like be the addicts source for drugs.
Doctor got off easy.
Elvis died of doctor-supervised addictions also.
Some doctors are pill-pushers;my orthopedic doctor would have hooked me on oxycontin if I had followed his instructions without question.Sure, two pills every six hours would have kept me pain free while the broken bones healed-but also zoned out in la-la land! Many people get hooked through legal drugs for actual injuries .

I do feel sorry for Michael Jackson. I feel sorry for anyone who wastes their life, talent and skills! However, there are probably thousands who die everyday in the exact same, self-inflicted manner; I feel sorry for them too. Michael Jackson, just like Elvis, Hendrix, Winehouse, etc..., just happened to be a prominent public figure while in this pattern!
Those who I DO NOT feel sorry for: his family! For them to not be there, everyday, fighting to protect Michael from Michael, yet now act so naive about it and even demand payment over his death is simply brass-balls brazenly idiotic to me!

Im sorry but that was the worst case of a judge flacking “look at me, look at me, me, me, I, I, I, I have ever seen. His soliloquy went on and on and on.. He do love the camera and he do think he is special.
Other than that.... don’t care..

There in lies the crux of your outrage! It requires the patient to be self-aware and willing to self-regulate. Michael Jackson and Elvis, whom I am a HUGE fan, did not self-regulate and THAT is what killed them - not the doctor! Especially in Elvis' situation, where he was WELL AWARE of the drugs he was taking!
I begrudging agree that Murray should have been charged with and convicted of involuntary manslaughter! He gave him drugs, Michael was more than willing to take those drugs, and he inadvertently killed him. He did not FORCE Michael to take drugs!
