In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
redolent;adj.
1. having a pleasant odor; fragrant. 2. odorous or smelling (usually followed by of ): redolent of garlic. 3. suggestive; reminiscent (usually followed by of ): verse redolent of Shakespeare.
Etymology: 1350–1400; Middle English < Latin redolent- (stem of redolēns ), present participle of redolēre to emit odor, equivalent to red- red- + ol ( ēre ) to smell (akin to odor) + -ent- -ent
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Bawney Fwank’s supwise announcement that he wiww not wun for we-ewection had a somewhat redolent stench of disaster about it. He claimed he came to the conclusion last year, but I have grave doubts about that insistence. Just as long as he’s going though, I’m happier.

People are fed up with OWS

I got one of those 3 page Holiday chat-and-curiosity letters from a friend of mine who sends them every year to all her friends-but instead of calling/e-mailing her with details of personal lives she is so obviously panting for, here is the tease I’m sending her instead-
When presented with Pandora’s box
Redolent of sandalwood and dust
Why hesitate to open the lid
And breathe the remembered lust?
On the wiser side, why tempt fate
And loose the Chimera within?
Better to leave the lid unopened
Upon such sweet, seductive sin...
I’ve e-mailed all the usual suspects she sends these things to every year, and my date and hour in the betting pool we have on her first phone call is tonight at 7PM...

So to be honest with the firing of the caps coach I’ve not paid much attention to the other news of the day. What’s really going on with bawney fwank?

Haven’t seen any response from Bruce. Can’t be a surprise to him. And he’ll be picked up shortly I’m betting. He’s a demonstrably winning coach but he lost control of this group.
Do you think BB will be a quicker rehire than ex-CAR Maurice?
He’s not running for re-election in ‘12. Said it was because he didn’t have time to get to know the people in his new district. Mass lost a congressman after census, end new gerrymandered districts were created. Some of barney’s cities (heavily Dem) went away, while others (more GOP) were put in his district. So he’s ‘retiring’ from Policitics.
THAT was excellent, sorry i didn’t see it last night. Like i said, i was fairly obsessively reading all Caps related stuff yesterday, sorry : ( A+++
