A new draft-Palin ad to run in Iowa next week (Tastes great, and less filling!)
Hot Air ^ | 11/26/11 | Ed Morrissey

Is it too late for Sarah Palin to enter the Republican presidential nomination sweepstakes? Conservatives4Palin hope not, and they plan to run an ad in Iowa aimed at convincing caucus-goers to draft her into the race...The Hill reminds its readers that Palin had plenty of time to jump into the race...However, Palin faces a bigger problem outside of Iowa. Most of the early contests are not caucuses, but primaries — and those states do have filing deadlines, which have all passed. Palin wouldn’t have contended in New Hampshire anyway, but can any candidate fail to win South Carolina, Florida, and Michigan and still expect to seriously contend for the nomination? Filing deadlines for all of these states have already passed.

Besides, Palin didn’t have an organization built in Iowa or anywhere else when she demurred on a run in the first place, and she certainly doesn’t have any now.

Draft Palin--what kind of beer is it?

Some of the comments on C4P are priceless. (I dunno, I may try to support Pat Paulsen instead. Or Lyndon Larouche. Or Kermit the Frog...)

http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/11/well-be-able-to-run-the-palin-reconsider-television-ad-in-the-sioux-city-iowa-market-next-week.html

Excerpts from Occupy Sarah:

-
Is it not possible to draft her as late as the convention?

—This is exciting!

—Palintastic!

—Love the ad and was glad to donate...will do more if things get rolling!!!

—I have goosebumps just thinking about it. and i can’t imagine what the establishment is going to think about this.

—So, will Sarah see this?

—We need to bombard Rush, Levin, Greta and Hannity so they talk about the ad being played in IA so the whole nation hears about it.

—We the people will make that 10.3 earthquake, hear us and the Mama grizzlies roar!

Well, looking at the pathetic stumblebums that are currently running in the GOP primary, Pat Paulsen, Lyndon Larouche and Kermit the Frog don’t really look all that bad.

Only if there is a brokered convention.

I admit that I don’t see how Palin can get back into the race at this point. But the problem is that nobody else on the scene is capable of fixing the mess our country has gotten into.

Frankly, I am very discouraged. The midgets running in these left-wing TV debates remind me of the last time around. And not a few earlier races, like that one where Bob Dole came out on top.

I really don’t see any obvious ways out of this mess.

I would love for (future) President Palin to be our nominee, but the fact is she decided not to run this election cycle. It’s not that she didn’t think about running or that she hasn’t yet made up her mind. Sarah decided. She’s not running. It’s time to move on. She’s young enough that she’s an extremely viable candidate in 2016 or 2020 - if America can survive the double danger of Obama/Romney and if there’s another election after 2012.

We need to choose: Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann, Perry, Santorum, Huntsman, Paul, or do we settle for Romney as the Obama Regime and MSNBC are begging us to do? That’s it.

Draft Palin--what kind of beer is it?

As the blurb for my very favorite beer goes:

This is an aggressive ale. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make things taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

(No, the gov is not an arrogant bastard. But if she were a beer, the bottom of her label would read the same as Stone Brewing’s finest:

(You’re Not Worthy.)

Easy solution: when you see her name in the article title, don’t click on it. She left you when you needed her most? She isn’t a parent who abandoned you, she’s an adult with a family of her own who prayed about her decision before announcing it. If you have any problems, take it up with the Almighty. I’m sure He’ll be happy to be chastised by you and interested in why you think His answer to her and her family was the wrong one.

Of course, I suppose she could have misunderstood what council the Lord was giving her. Do you think her decision was illegitimate? Or that perhaps the message in her heart wasn’t from God? I’m not a theologian but I know when God is talking to me. Can you explain why you think her decision was prayerfully made with God’s guidance? That’s essentially what you’re saying.

Sorry Cindie,

She bailed not me. What she did was wrong period.

I’m not her only victim, all that believed in her were her victims.

No matter how you try to make me out as the perpetrator in these discussions, she is the one who led the false candidacy, I and the million who believed in her were the fools led by a false promise.

Lets not kid ourselves, folks.

Sarah Palin {as an individual} can’t save a country that’s stupid enough to elect our current traitors. Anything short of a mass revival or reawakening, we’re pretty much screwed.

Granted, she would stop the slide. But for how long ?

In a way, that reflects one of the reasons I suppose I wasn’t too terribly upset when she decided not to run. The country is pretty much unsalvageable at this point, and accelerating in ever-rapid decline, the fulfillment of years of marxist institutional infiltration. Everything is upside-down... good is evil, evil is good, virtues are vilified and deviancy is celebrated, it’s all a sick mess. There’s practically no way Palin could actually perservere in such an environment. She’s more a cultural and political reflection of America’s past, when it represented greatness. And with her clean-government, anti-corruption agendas, there’s no way in hell the ruling class powers would allow her to get anywhere near the presidency alive.

You sound totally nuts. I know I am not the only freeper who get the creeps reading your sanctimonious,oh poor me, unrequited love, sicko posts.

You seem like you are crying as you are posting. Good God, pound your thumb with a hammer, it will be less painful than what you are doing. Stop being a masochist, if she causes you pain stay off threads about her.

You're basically correct.

Palin has shown, both in word and in deed, that she is just not interested in running.

Yet there is a “draft Sarah”/”convince Sarah” cottage industry. Nothing wrong with that. Folks have a right to chase rainbows if they want.

But it is silly. And other folks have the right to call it out as silly.

It reminds me of the old Russian peasant lament. If only the tsar would come to our village, if he only knew...

Well, guess what peasants. The tsar isn't coming to your rescue. And Palin isn't coming to your rescue either.

Yes, it is too late. She has shown her yellow belly. This is a useless waste of money anyway; Palin means what she says. She's not running. People need to get over it.

...........but the fact is she decided not to run this election cycle.

Can anyone blame her? McCain allowed her to be marginalized in '08 when it appeared his ticket might win. Then, her own party either directly or through surrogates went on, along with the Liberals, on a spree of character assassination. In the forefront was and is the GOPs Joseph Goebbels, Carl Rove.

If I thougt she would get in I’d be all for it but she’s clearly clearly not running. Leaves us with a bunch of McCains...except for Cain and Perry...and then those who have no chance.
