A noble sentiment. I must admit to having lost some enthusiasm for the "Buy American" mantra. I used to be big into it, but two things have soured that view somewhat:

1. Unions. I know, they've always been around and have always been anti-conservative for the most part, but lately they just seem to have gone bananas, especially since the election of Obangi (see below).

2. The coronation of Oscumwad. Any country that would have a majority of the electorate vote for an absolute, total creep like Barack Obbummah for the highest office in the land, well, I just don't know anymore. I know there are a great many good, decent people who did not vote for him who would be hurt by any anti-BuyAmerican sentiment, but just the thought that this country would choose such a total bum for its leader makes me wonder about the overall wisdom and judgment of the electorate.

I’ll choose US products if I can be guaranteed that my purchse in no way goes to further the goals of a union.

Exactly. When they come up with a "Choose Made in USA by Non-Union Workers" then I'll take notice. I don't know about this one in particular, but look behind these campaigns and unfortunately you'll usually find the same old Marxist union bosses & thugs trying to line their pockets & those of corrupt socialist Dem politicians. I am NOT going to willingly pay these thugs - effectively funding the further destruction of our Republic.

The best way to support US companies, goods & services is to buy local, from local small businesses or locally owned companies that you know - rather than rely upon some potentially suspect label.

It's really simple - we're not going to have more jobs in the US until businesses feel comfortable to grow in the US.

IMO, "comfort" doesn't doesn't matter - it's the Great God Bottom Line.

I tagged along with wifey as she checked out Beale's department store in Nevada. I looked at a pair of Florsheim boots - $90.00 - made in India. Does anyone Honest-to-God say that they couldn't be made in the U.S. for the same price? They could, but the profit margin wouldn't be the same - hence "Free Trade means lower prices". (cough)

For those that didn’t actually look at the site (http://www.choosemadeinusa.us/home-garden-and-tools/home-decor-and-furnishings/interior-decorating.html?p=2) before commenting on US products and unions, this site looks to be mainly small businesses. Doesn’t look like union stuff to me.
