If your wife can see the SSID (sometimes called a network ID) of your wireless router, but not connect to it by wireless, it is usually a password issue. If the SSID is not visible, then there is probably no signal coming from the router.
That's the problem. Other networks in the neighborhood are detected on her computer but not my Netgear. I can also connect via wire to Netgear but no signal seems to be coming from the antenna. Is there some way to turn on the wireless antenna?
