One of the things that is hard to square with the notion of Rossi perpetrating a hoax is the appearance of competition with him using the same technology. This is a good thing from a consumer and free-market competition angle, for sure, and can only hasten the widespread availability of fusion reactors if real.

*Ping* This is interesting, if Defkalion really has the goods and without infringing on a Rossi patent.

These two aren't the only companies ready to roll something out there. At the same time none of them seem to be too sure of what it is they are doing but it doesn't have hard radiation and doesn't leave behind radioactive isotopes.

The North Koreans appear to have an atomic bomb design that does pretty much the same thing which requires them to spread around radioactive isotopes pulled out of their nuclear reactors in some sort of attempt to trick us. Did you realize that they blew up one of these bombs called "the Great Fizzle", and a few months later walked back into the cavern with yet another bomb ~ no one was irradiated!

The Iranians have some sort of atom bomb program going on and the other day they are said to have blown up 20 sq. miles of a military base where they do their atomic research ~ killed their top guy and a bunch of his scientists. They continue to search for bodies ~ and we must presume they are just dead, possibly parboiled, not crispy!

In the mix of news we now find that a research group has confirmed that you can catch virtual particles appearing in "the vacuum", tag a touch of energy to them and lo and behold you get TWO PHOTON SOURCES.

These events may all be of a piece with Wintogreen Mints crunched in front of a mirror in a darkened room, or x-rays emitted by Scotch tape pulled off the roll in a vacuum.

The difference is some are scaled up and some seem to be "controlled" and yet two groups none of us like, Iran and North Korea, may be using the process to make theatre weapons that leave no radioactive residue.

It's certainly a Brave New World ~ and it's coming down fast.

I’m buying my E-cat from Acme Corp. The same place a wily coyote buys his goods from. I don’t want to stop a roadrunner, just go off grid.

But the Greek Co. said,

“All the technology used in devices at the Hyperion KW and systems 1 to 5MW are our own design – different from those of Rossi”...

Do they have something different from or only more refined than Rossi?

The E-Cat story is starting to look like a spaghetti western.

BTW, I doubt that it will save either of the two nations from default. Northern countries will be understandably skeptical and wary.
