Pictured: The fairytale Western wedding of Lauren Bush and fashion heir David Lauren
Daily Mail ^

When political royalty weds fashion royalty, the expectations of grandeur are high.

But when Lauren Bush, niece of former President George W. Bush and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, married David Lauren, youngest son of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, they decided to make everything a little more down-home and country.

That's not to say that the event wasn't the epitome of fashion and luxury, as the newly-wed couple described their rustic affair to Vogue.

David described the event like 'a beautiful movie... like you were riding across the old west and you stopped in at a wedding'.

The couple certainly dressed the part, with Lauren, 27, wearing a long-sleeved embellished dress with tulle, lace and crystals. The look was completed with a headpiece around her forehead and a long veil.

So, you're jealous of that long-haired boy?

It's not becoming, especially considering how he looks a lot like Oscar Wilde.

The Bush women were behind the open borders, and wanted amnesty so that they could feel all warm and runny inside about being too lazy to clean up after themselves or their Scotty dogs. Laura had all this quiet class while being FL, then she went and wrote a rather snippy autobio that made it clear that she was not one of OUR kind. She likes abortion, gay marriage and open borders so that she has lots of cheap house help.

And she really, really wanted to pal around with the Kennedy's. Now her daughters get to buy into celeb royalty.

Just sayin'

Your posts are getting ever more foolish and bitter sounding. I shall not waste more broadband than this on you:

IF you could read, you’d realize that the bride in this story is not Laura Bush’s daughter. The only daughter of Laura Bush to have married so far is Jenna, who married the son of a former VA Lt. Governor, not a major celebrity. She had a quiet, private wedding at the Crawford ranch instead of the White House. That’s how ‘celebrity’ seeking she is.

Since when is David Lauren, a businessman, a ‘celebrity?’ Had you ever heard of David Lauren before? Your ill-informed and petty critique notwithstanding, he is a fine looking young man. Who do you look like, Helen Thomas? You must, at least on the inside.

Goody, I love having the last word!! I'm SO glad you can't be bothered to reply.

The Bush clan has a lot of lazy and self-indulgent women, from Bar who wouldn't cook (ever wonder why W speaks better Spanish than English?) to the drunken twins, to whatever nieces who were raised by illegals...who cares? We have madness and chaos and danger on our borders for one stupid reason...the Bush women wanted to reward themselves for hiring illegals.

I used to live in Texas when immigration laws were enforced. Women who drove illegals around (because they wouldn't raise their own kids or clean their own houses and didn't want to pay American wages to citizens or lawful resident aliens) got their cars impounded if they were caught!

Dearie me, Scarlett O'Bush could lose her Range Rover!

That was a time that is was considered low-class to exploit illegal labor. Imagine that! Well, shiftless slatterns like the Bush women didn't like that kind of attitude. So pressure was put to make exploitation of vulnerable illegals a really nice, classy thing that made Laura better than those who didn't hire illegals to clean up after Scotty. Not only did you get your toilet scrubbed while you read the latest novel, but your felt really good about yourself for doing it. Lady Bountiful.

I want no more Bushes in power. This business of running "philanthropies" is another way for Bush women to avoid honest toil. If they'd shut up, I wouldn't hate on them. But they have to go getting in my face.

And, if you'll notice (but you can't reply, you promised)--I complemented the design of Laura-Lauren-Lauren's dress.

This really is a fashion thread, not a political thread. It is about the marriage of two very attractive, successful young people. Lauren Bush is the daughter of a non-political Bush brother. She didn’t choose her grandparents or her uncle.

All your Bush bashing is embarrassing on a conservative site like FR. Your mean & malicious comments towards the Bush family, especially the wives and daughters is something I find disgusting.

This class envy and class warfare is a tool used by the left to demonize and divide people. It has no place on a conservative forum.

Well said!

Did Ed recruit you because he promised not to reply?

Perhaps FR has a fashion section, like a Religion section, where there are a lot of rules? I didn't know about them. When Michelle and her linebacker arms appear, there's a lot political.

Neil Bush was the "black sheep" whose wife was shown the door. The Bush women insist that you be One of Them and not expect any help when Sonny turns out to be a loser. I might know a little more about the Bushes and the women of the Bush than you do.

If you know anyone near the border, maybe a rancher who has to sit on guard all night with guns loaded, fearing a home invasion that Compassionate Conservatives don't care about--the Fashionable Bush Wives don't care, either.

The dress is beautiful. That's about all that a thread can say about a dress, and I sew and can recognize immediately the quality of the ingredients, the skill that went in making it, and the taste that designed it.

And if your school can't afford a music teacher because all their money goes to coddle students that are here, breaking the law, then I have to say that the Bush women approve. They're so charitable, with all their 501-c3 boutique philanthropies.

Heavens, no! It was a round-up comment directed towards many of the posts. How are ya, EDINVA? Miss you!

Amen!!

By the way, I have been out to Telluride and have driven several miles around the split-rail fencing of Ralph Lauren's fabulous mountaintop property as well. What a view. He has certainly earned it.

Bravo! Great job for telling that Bush hater to knock it off! Geez, why can't people just leave the Bush wives, daughters and nieces alone? They have no sinister motives or desire to run for political office. Now granted, some of them have chosen to get involved in various projects and organizations that puts them in the public spotlight.

With the exception of Jeb Bush's sons perhaps running for public office someday, I do not see any of the Bush women involving themselves in politics or campaigning for other candidates. Every one of them - Laura, Barbara Bush (elder), Jenna, Barbara (the younger) and Lauren are beautiful, intelligent, resourceful and want to use their status to help the less fortunate.

Yes, it’s true, this is a fashion thread, only “ooh” and “aah” posts are allowed (I mean what else can be said? That the two are lovely?)

Nonetheless, I appreciate your very informative post, thank you.

the picture of the bride in the horse drawn buggy reminds me of the best wedding I have ever attended.

My neice married a young man whos family has lived on a ranch in the Texas hillcountry for 150 years. The wedding guest were led (on foot) out into the pasture under a clump of oak trees where a stone altar had been built and the groom and the minister were waiting.

The bride and her sister were driven slowly out in an old jeep (lined with hand made quilts) by their father (my brother) and followed by a Mariachi Band. It was a beautiful spring afternoon and after they were married the bride and groom drove back to the house in the jeep and we followed on foot. There was a wonderful Mexican meal waiting for us. Best, most unique wedding I have ever attended.
