A Doctor caller to Levin's show last night cited the Calendar of Doom, and said he notified the government that he would stop accepting Medicare and Medicaid patients as of January 1st. Because of this, his expenses will be lower and he could offer free care to a portion of these patients.

The government's goal of course is to run practitioners as well as health insurers out of business, declare a national emergency and force health care providers to work directly for the government.

As a rough estimate, I'd say half of the MDs I know convinced their children to avoid med school. They see what is coming.

Yup. They'll offer a form of the GI Bill to people who want to attend medical school and in return there'll be a requirement to serve the gubmint for a specified number of years at minimum wage.
