All FR needs is some copyright troll file an infringement claim on FR, and we are no longer accessible.
Anyone who thinks SOPA won't be used for political purposes is naive beyond reckoning. Does anyone really think the administration hasn't considered that, and approved such use on American websites? I am sure they have already lined up their flunkies to post restricted material on the websites they intend to take down. I would bet a fancy steak dinner that FreeRepublic is on that list right now.
No tinfoil hat required to worry about this being applied politically -- it's happened before, and it will happen again.
