I love the metaphor! I was a little confused as to whether we are referring to Michelle Obama when we mention the whale?

Yeah.
But.
Thishere ‘captain’ steers us straight for the rocks.

Here is deep Pullus Femus at the start of the article:
“All would agree our present position was unforeseeable even two years ago,...”.
Only to the Liberals, socialists, commies, media presstitutes - the usual suspects.

Our present “Captain” reminds me of the passage in Moby Dick were Starbuck, Stubb and Flask, discuss maritime barratry, a act of the officers of a ship committed contrary to their duty, to the detriment of the owners of the ship.

The present “captain” believes he can stop a hurricane by sailing into the middle of it and talking it to death.

All would agree our present position was unforeseeable even two years ago and that our present passage is fraught with danger. Not only was our present position completely foreseeable three years ago, but many on FR specifically predicted that the Bailout, TARP, and Stimulus would lead to the increased unemployment that we have seen, plus the huge jump in our debt. Many on FR predicted that ObamaCare would provide an additional disincentive toward hiring. Many on FR predicted that Obama's policy of apologizing for America's success and freedom would lead to less of both, plus less respect and regard for America both here and abroad. I will agree that our present passage is fraught with danger - and that will remain true for as long as the drug-addled communist is in our White House. Ahab endangered the Pequod, but his goal was the destruction of the white whale. With our alleged "captain", the goal is to destroy the ship.
