Word For The Day,Monday, 11/14/11



In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

verisimilitude; noun

1.the appearance or semblance of truth; likelihood; probability: The play lacked verisimilitude. 2.something, as an assertion, having merely the appearance of truth.

Etymology: 1595–1605; < Latin vērīsimilitūdō,equivalent to vērī(genitive singular of vērumtruth) + similitūdōsimilitude

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Yes-that is why there are mute buttons, and I use mine then hear the Fox newsperson’s redux after-that way, I don’t have to listen to the idiot in chief drone on and on...

We got him from a breeder in Seguin, TX. He came on the plane and i don’t know if that’s what has made him highstrung or not. he’s a purebred cav, but xshub thinks he’s really a jack russell wearing a cav suit and he will unzip some day and expose his true self. He drives Chan nuts with barking and rampaging around. yes, he’s a puppy, but the other two were NOT like this as puppise! he’s a whole nuther kinda cav!
