Contrary to claims made on HillBuzz and the twitterverse, Free Republic is NOT reporting Larry Sinclair is dead. An "article" written at a blog website (that has 3 articles in its entire history) was linked to on Free Republic. Thats it. It is not written by Free Republic and is not a claim made by Free Republic.
til then LS is toxic.
UPDATE: The mods pulled the original thread because it was a hoax. It was simply a link to a blog making the claim. This was not original FR reporting, this was not an article written by a freeper or Free Republic. Hillbuzz now has its panties in a bunch:
UPDATE: 700am CST 11/14/11
I just got off the phone with Larry Sinclair and he is very much alive.
I dont know why Free Republic ran that story, but Larry Sinclair is alive and well.
Shortly after Free Republic put up the apocryphal account that he was killed in a car accident, people started calling Larry to check on him (myself included).
.
.
.
I have no idea what Free Republics intentions were this morning, but I think its sick they ran this hoax and scared the living daylights out of so many people today.
Shame on them.

UPDATE: 710am CST 11/14/11
As of 710am CST, Free Republic has deleted the article it ran claiming that Larry Sinclair was killed in a hit and run car accident.
Theyve flushed it all down the memory hole as if it never happened. The links to the original story no longer work and are reading that that thread has been pulled.
So far, no explanation has been given for why Free Republic did any of this.
I honestly dont know how that site works, so if someone who is a regular reader there can explain it in comments below I would really appreciate it.
Its my understanding that anything thats submitted for posting there is reviewed by Editors/Moderators, so I just dont know why anyone would approve this morbid lie about Larry Sinclair.
Can someone explain how this happened at Free Republic and how they can prevent something like this from happening again?
Nicely done bump.
Blogpimpimg perhaps?
I saw that thread and there were some who just believed it right off the bat which was a tad discouraging, IMO.
However, most of us who posted on it were expressing strong skepticism.
I'm glad the Mods took the thread down.
I hit the abuse button shortly after it was posted, and told the mod it should be removed until verified by another source. The article was allowed to stand for several hours after my notification before it was pulled.
It was just too believeable - you-know-who has to want him dead.
Where can we hear Larry’s interview tomorrow night or read the transcripts?
Hopefully someone has had time to think that their lives might be on the line as well and has provided tangible proof.
And I am relieved he is ok.
Heh, I posted on that thread last night. I was wondering what happened to it.
Hoax, huh? Shoulda known...
I don’t get it, is he dead or not dead?
Ilya Zhitomirskiy is dead, that’s for sure.
>>The article was allowed to stand for several hours after my notification before it was pulled.<<
Yeah, maybe the mods were sleeping. Who knows. But normally FR is pretty good about this kind of stuff.
No matter what, you did all you could do. :)
Don’t you remember? Just before the last presidential election, Larry Sinclair “outed” Obama as a homosexual who kept having his lovers bumped off to protect his political career. Then Sinclair wisely made himself scarce. Now the New Media is putting him back in the spotlight, which will undoubtedly put his life in danger. The dude needs to stay in hiding.
“Why this post was allowed to stand when proven false is beyond me”
Please at least tell me that the poster GTZ (Got The Zot).
Don’t recall who posted it...
